Description

Sweet and savory chicken bites coated in a rich honey garlic sauce, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • ½ lbs boneless, skinless chicken, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch for coating
  • ½ tsp salt, to taste
  • ¼ tsp black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil for cooking
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • â…“ cup honey for the sauce
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar for acidity
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
  • 2 tbsp green onions, sliced for garnish
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Pat dry the chicken and toss it with cornstarch, salt, and black pepper in a bowl until evenly coated.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the coated chicken to the skillet in batches. Cook each batch for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove the chicken and set it aside.
  3. Reduce the heat to medium. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and stir for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Stir in honey, soy sauce, and rice vinegar, letting it simmer for 1-2 minutes until combined.
  5. Return the cooked chicken to the skillet, tossing it in the sauce. Allow it to thicken for 1-2 minutes before removing from heat.
  6. Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds and serve hot over rice, noodles, or vegetables.

Notes

Use fresh garlic for the best flavor. Consider marinating the chicken in the sauce for deeper flavor if time permits.
