Description

A delightful and easy-to-make dish that brings together the sweet and savory flavors of honey and garlic, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

  • 2 large chicken breasts
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Cooking oil for the skillet

Instructions

  1. Heat a tablespoon of oil in your skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
  3. Sear the chicken breasts in the hot skillet for about 5-7 minutes on each side, until they turn golden brown.
  4. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  5. Add the minced garlic to the same skillet and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  6. Pour in the soy sauce and honey, stirring to combine. Allow the sauce to simmer for a couple of minutes.
  7. Return the chicken breasts to the pan, coating them in the sauce.
  8. Let the chicken simmer in the sauce for about 5-10 minutes until it cooks through and the sauce thickens.

Notes

For enhanced flavor, consider marinating the chicken in the soy sauce and honey mixture for a couple of hours before cooking.
