Description
Sweet and savory honey garlic chicken bites, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
- 1.5 pounds chicken breast (cubed)
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1/4 cup chicken broth
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce or tamari
- 1/4 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1/2 medium lemon (juiced)
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Sriracha (optional)
Instructions
- Add the cubed chicken to a mixing bowl. Sprinkle in cornstarch, salt, and pepper, then stir to coat the chicken evenly.
- Heat olive oil over medium-high heat in a large skillet. Add the chicken cubes in a single layer, cooking for 4 minutes without turning. After 4 minutes, flip the chicken and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- Add the minced garlic to the skillet and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the chicken broth, using a spatula to scrape up the brown bits at the bottom of the pan.
- Stir in the honey, soy sauce, and Old Bay seasoning, then allow the sauce to thicken for a couple of minutes.
- Incorporate the butter, fresh lemon juice, and red pepper flakes into the sauce. If desired, add Sriracha for an extra kick. Stir until the butter melts.
- Serve your honey garlic chicken bites hot or cold. Enjoy!
Notes
Customize spice levels as desired; Sriracha adds heat. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days.
