Description
Deliciously crispy chicken wings coated in a sweet and tangy honey lemon sauce, perfect for gatherings and weeknight dinners.
Ingredients
- 2 pounds chicken wings
- 3 tablespoons potato starch
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- ¼ teaspoon paprika
- Oil spray
- ½ cup honey
- 1 lemon zested
- ¼ cup lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1-2 teaspoons ground pepper
- 1 pinch salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 450°F. If your chicken wings are wet, pat them dry with a paper towel.
- In a large bowl, combine potato starch, baking powder, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. Add the chicken wings and toss until well coated in the dry ingredients.
- Lightly spray oil onto the parchment-lined sheet pan. Lay the chicken wings in a single layer and spritz the tops with oil.
- Reduce the oven temperature to 425°F and bake for 35 to 40 minutes. Halfway through, flip the wings and spray them with oil again for even crispiness.
- While wings bake, prepare the honey lemon sauce. In a small saucepan over medium heat, mix honey, lemon juice, lemon zest, minced garlic, butter, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 3 to 5 minutes until well combined. Reserve part of this sauce for dipping if desired.
- When the wings are ready, transfer them to a bowl. Toss with the honey lemon pepper sauce until generously coated.
Notes
For extra crispy wings, let the coated wings rest in the fridge for 30 to 60 minutes before baking.
