Description

Learn how to make juicy and flavorful honey mustard chicken thighs with this easy recipe. Perfect for a delicious weeknight dinner!

Ingredients

  • – 8 bone-in chicken thighs (about 1.8 kg)
  • – 1/4 cup (60 ml) honey
  • – 1/4 cup (60 ml) mustard
  • – 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • – 1 tablespoon (15 ml) vegetable oil
  • – 1 1/2 teaspoons (7.5 ml) finely chopped fresh rosemary
  • – 1 1/2 teaspoons (7.5 ml) finely chopped fresh thyme
  • – 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 ml) kosher salt
  • – 1/4 teaspoon (1.25 ml) freshly ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Set your oven to 350°F (177°C) to warm it up. Arrange the chicken thighs in a baking dish and ensure they are dry by using a paper towel.
  2. In a small mixing bowl, combine the honey, mustard, minced garlic, vegetable oil, chopped rosemary and thyme, salt, and ground black pepper.
  3. Generously coat the chicken with the honey mustard blend using a brush or spoon.
  4. Cook in the oven for 40 to 45 minutes until the chicken is thoroughly done and the internal temperature reaches 175°F (80°C). In the final 2 to 3 minutes, switch on the broiler to make the skin crispy.

Notes

  • Marinate chicken thighs in honey mustard mixture for enhanced herb flavor.
  • Squeeze fresh lemon juice over cooked chicken for a hint of acidity.
  • Avoid overcrowding baking dish to ensure crispy skin and even cooking.
