Description

A delightful family-friendly dish featuring crispy chicken coated in a sweet and savory honey-soy glaze, topped with sesame seeds and fresh green onions.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • Green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Coat the chicken pieces in cornstarch.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the cornstarch-coated chicken and fry until golden brown and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. In a bowl, mix honey, soy sauce, sesame oil, and minced garlic to create the glaze.
  4. Pour the sauce over the cooked chicken and stir to coat thoroughly.
  5. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top and cook for an additional 2 minutes to toast the seeds.
  6. Plate hot, garnished with chopped green onions.

Notes

For the best crunch, ensure the oil is hot enough before frying. Fresh ingredients enhance the flavor significantly.
