Ingredients
- 8 chicken drumsticks (900g)
- 1/4 cup soy sauce (60ml)
- 2 Tbsp (30 ml) wholegrain mustard
- 1 Tbsp (15 ml) honey
- 1 tsp (5 ml) crushed garlic
- 2 Tbsp (30 ml) sweet chili sauce
- 1 tsp (5 ml) sesame seeds
- 4 baked potatoes
- Butter & sour cream
- Coleslaw
Instructions
- Combine the soy sauce, wholegrain mustard, honey, crushed garlic, and sweet chili sauce in a large container.
- Submerge the drumsticks in the mixture, ensuring they are fully coated. Chill in the refrigerator for a minimum of 30 minutes. For enhanced taste and convenience, leave them to marinate overnight.
- When you’re set to cook, set the oven to 200°C with the fan setting.
- Arrange the drumsticks on a baking sheet lined with parchment and roast for half an hour.
- Apply any leftover sauce from the baking sheet onto the drumsticks and scatter the sesame seeds on top. Continue baking for another 5 minutes until the chicken is thoroughly cooked and has a golden hue.
- Present the dish with coleslaw and warm baked potatoes, topped with butter and sour cream.
