Description

A delightful hot honey butter chicken sandwich featuring crispy chicken breast slathered in velvety hot honey butter, perfect for any gathering.

Ingredients

  • 2 large chicken breasts
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 4 sandwich buns
  • Lettuce or pickles (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken in buttermilk for at least an hour, or overnight.
  2. Mix the flour, garlic powder, paprika, cayenne, salt, and pepper in a separate bowl.
  3. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  4. Remove chicken from buttermilk and dredge in the seasoned flour.
  5. Fry the chicken until golden brown and cooked through, about 5–7 minutes per side.
  6. Melt butter in a small pot, stir in honey and hot sauce, and let simmer gently.
  7. Toss the cooked chicken in the hot honey butter.
  8. Assemble the sandwich with toasted buns, chicken, and toppings.

Notes

For extra crispiness, consider double dredging the chicken. Adjust spice levels according to taste.
