Description

Savor the rich flavors of juicy beef patties topped with melty Irish cheddar and crispy bacon in these delightful Irish pub burgers.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
  • 1 cup (100 g) shredded Irish cheddar cheese
  • 4 slices crispy bacon
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
  • 4 burger buns (preferably toasted)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the burger patties by gently breaking apart the ground beef and mixing it without overworking.
  2. Divide the beef into four equal portions and shape each into thick patties, making an indentation in the center to ensure even cooking.
  3. Season the patties with Worcestershire sauce, black pepper, and salt. Allow them to rest for about 10 minutes, ensuring the flavors meld.
  4. Cook the patties on a grill or skillet over medium-high heat for 4-5 minutes on one side. Flip the patties and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes.
  5. In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of Irish cheddar cheese on each patty to melt.
  6. Assemble the burgers by placing the patty on the bottom half of a toasted bun. Add crispy bacon and caramelized onions, then top with the other half of the bun.
  7. Serve immediately with your favorite sides.

Notes

Use a digital meat thermometer for accurate cooking. Aim for an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C) for medium burgers.
