Description
Irresistible and flavorful chicken bites coated in a sweet and tangy honey BBQ marinade, perfectly crispy from the air fryer.
Ingredients
- 1 pound chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
- ½ cup honey
- ¼ cup barbecue sauce
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooking spray for the air fryer basket
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the honey, barbecue sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper until the marinade is smooth and well-combined.
- Add the bite-sized chicken pieces to the marinade, ensuring each piece is evenly coated. Cover the bowl and let the chicken marinate for at least 30 minutes, or up to a few hours in the refrigerator.
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F for a few minutes.
- Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray to prevent sticking. Arrange the marinated chicken pieces in a single layer in the basket.
- Air fry the chicken bites for 10-12 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until cooked through and golden-brown.
- Let the chicken bites rest for a few minutes before serving hot.
Notes
For best results, marinate the chicken overnight. Experiment with spices for different flavors.
