Description
Delicious turkey burgers featuring a spicy jalapeño and creamy cheese filling, topped with crispy bacon.
Ingredients
- 3 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 3 ounces cheddar cheese, grated
- 1 to 2 jalapeño peppers, minced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 lb ground turkey
- ½ cup almond flour
- 2 tablespoons finely minced onion
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ¾ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon cumin
- 1 to 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 6 slices cooked bacon
- Optional: lettuce wraps for serving
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, grated cheddar, minced jalapeños, and garlic. Mash until well mixed. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, mix the ground turkey, almond flour, minced onion, salt, black pepper, and cumin until combined.
- Prepare a burger press with parchment paper. Fill halfway with turkey mixture, create a well, add cream cheese mixture, and seal with more turkey mixture.
- Grill the burgers on medium-high for 7 to 8 minutes per side, or until internal temperature reaches 165ºF.
- Top with crispy bacon and serve on lettuce wraps.
Notes
Avoid pressing down on burgers while grilling to keep them juicy. You can marinate the turkey mixture for enhanced flavor.
