Description

Delicious turkey burgers featuring a spicy jalapeño and creamy cheese filling, topped with crispy bacon.

Ingredients

  • 3 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 3 ounces cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1 to 2 jalapeño peppers, minced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 lb ground turkey
  • ½ cup almond flour
  • 2 tablespoons finely minced onion
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ¾ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon cumin
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 6 slices cooked bacon
  • Optional: lettuce wraps for serving

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, grated cheddar, minced jalapeños, and garlic. Mash until well mixed. Set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the ground turkey, almond flour, minced onion, salt, black pepper, and cumin until combined.
  3. Prepare a burger press with parchment paper. Fill halfway with turkey mixture, create a well, add cream cheese mixture, and seal with more turkey mixture.
  4. Grill the burgers on medium-high for 7 to 8 minutes per side, or until internal temperature reaches 165ºF.
  5. Top with crispy bacon and serve on lettuce wraps.

Notes

Avoid pressing down on burgers while grilling to keep them juicy. You can marinate the turkey mixture for enhanced flavor.
