Ingredients
- 14 chicken wings
- 1 cup green onions (chopped)
- 1 cup red onions (chopped)
- 4 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1-inch ginger root (skin removed)
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 teaspoon allspice
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- ¼ cup soy sauce
- 2-3 habanero peppers (adjust for spice preference)
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- 1 tablespoon oil
Instructions
- Combine all the ingredients (except chicken wings) in a blender or food processor and blend until smooth.
- Pour the marinade over the chicken wings in a large bowl, ensuring each wing is well-coated.
- Cover the bowl and refrigerate for 120-240 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Arrange the marinated chicken wings on a baking sheet in a single layer.
- Bake for about 60 minutes, checking for a golden-brown and crispy exterior.
Notes
For extra crispiness, broil the wings for a few minutes after baking. Adjust the number of habaneros to preference for spice level.
