Description

Vibrant Jamaican jerk chicken wings, marinated in a flavorful mix of spices, heat, and sweetness, perfect for gatherings and family dinners.

Ingredients

  • 14 chicken wings
  • 1 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1 cup red onions, chopped
  • 4 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 inch ginger root, skin removed
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 teaspoon allspice
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 2-3 habanero peppers, adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 1 tablespoon oil

Instructions

  1. Combine all the ingredients, except for the chicken wings, in a blender or food processor.
  2. Blend everything until smooth, creating a thick marinade.
  3. Place the chicken wings in a large bowl and pour the marinade over the wings.
  4. Cover the bowl tightly and refrigerate for 2 to 4 hours, or overnight for deeper flavor.
  5. Preheat your oven to 400°F.
  6. Arrange the marinated chicken wings on a baking sheet in a single layer.
  7. Bake the wings for about 1 hour, or until golden brown and crispy.
  8. Serve hot and enjoy the tantalizing flavors.

Notes

For a spicier kick, adjust the number of habanero peppers. Marinating overnight enhances the flavors.
