A flavorful and easy-to-make Korean chicken dish marinated in a savory-sweet sauce.
Ingredients
- 2 chicken breasts
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon gochujang (Korean chili paste)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger
- Green onions for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, gochujang, garlic, sesame oil, rice vinegar, and ginger to create the marinade.
- Add the chicken breasts to the marinade and let them marinate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours in the refrigerator.
- Preheat the grill or a skillet over medium heat.
- Cook the chicken for 6-7 minutes on each side or until fully cooked and the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
- Remove the chicken from heat, let it rest for a few minutes, then slice and serve.
- Garnish with chopped green onions.
Notes
For optimal flavor, marinate chicken overnight. Serve with steamed rice or vegetables.
