Description

A flavorful and vibrant Korean spicy chicken stir fry that combines succulent chicken with colorful vegetables and a rich gochujang sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 3 tablespoons gochujang (Korean chili paste)
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • Sesame seeds for garnish
  • Green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the sliced chicken and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Incorporate garlic and ginger, sautéing for another minute until fragrant.
  4. Introduce the bell pepper and onion, stirring to fry for 3-4 minutes until the vegetables become tender.
  5. Mix gochujang, soy sauce, sesame oil, and honey in a small bowl.
  6. Pour the sauce over the chicken and vegetables, stirring to coat everything evenly.
  7. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  8. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions before serving.

Notes

Consider marinating the chicken beforehand to enhance flavor. Adjust gochujang according to desired spice level.
