Ingredients
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil (30 ml)
- 3 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
- 5 tsp (8 ml) salt
- 5 tsp (8 ml) ground black pepper
- 2 tbsp (30 ml) garlic powder, divided
- 1 lemon, juiced
Instructions
- Collect all necessary components.
- In a pan over medium-high heat, heat the vegetable oil. Add salt and pepper to the chicken, then place it in the warmed oil. Turn the chicken often as it cooks until it becomes golden, approximately 5 minutes.
- Scatter 1 tablespoon of garlic powder over the chicken and continue cooking for 2 minutes. Turn the chicken over and dust the other side with the remaining garlic powder; cook for another 2 minutes.
- Drizzle lemon juice over both sides of the chicken and continue cooking until the chicken is fully cooked and no longer pink inside, around 5 to 10 more minutes. Check with a thermometer to ensure it reaches at least 165°F (74°C).
