Ingredients

  • 2 Tablespoons (30 ml) vegetable oil
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts pounded out to even thickness and cut in half to make four pieces of chicken.
  • 1 Tablespoon (15 ml) garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) salt
  • 1 ½ teaspoons (7.5 ml) ground black pepper
  • 2 Tablespoons (30 ml) fresh garlic minced
  • 2 Tablespoons (30 ml) fresh lemon juice
  • 6 ounces (170 g) whole green beans frozen
  • 2 Tablespoons (4 g) chopped Fresh Parsley


Instructions

  1. In a large frying pan over medium-high flame, pour in the vegetable oil. Sprinkle both sides of the chicken pieces with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Once the oil is hot, place the seasoned chicken into the skillet. Let it cook without turning or stirring for 4 minutes.
  3. After the 4 minutes have passed, pour half of the fresh lemon juice over the chicken. Mix the minced garlic and chopped parsley into the oil around the chicken, then turn the chicken over and pour the remaining lemon juice on it.
  4. Arrange the frozen green beans around the chicken in the pan, ensuring they do not cover the chicken, and secure a lid on the pan. Cook for another 6 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F using a meat thermometer.
