Ingredients
- – 12 chicken legs (skin on) (1.4 kg)
- – 4 tablespoon unsalted butter (melted) (56 g)
- – 2 tablespoon olive oil (30 ml)
- – 2 teaspoon dried oregano (2 g)
- – 1 teaspoon smoked paprika (2 g)
- – 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- – 2 tablespoon lemon juice (30 ml)
- – salt and pepper to taste
- – 1 lemon (sliced)
- – fresh thyme (for garnish)
Instructions
- Place the chicken legs, melted butter, olive oil, oregano, paprika, minced garlic, lemon juice, along with salt and pepper inside a large resealable plastic bag. Seal the bag and shake until all ingredients are well combined.
- Refrigerate the sealed bag, allowing the chicken to soak in the flavors for at least 30 minutes and up to a full day.
- Set your oven to preheat at 450°F.
- Move the chicken legs from the bag to a large baking dish, arranging lemon slices among the legs. Cook without covering for 30 to 35 minutes until the chicken is golden and fully cooked.
- Add fresh thyme on top before serving warm.
