Ingredients

  • – 12 chicken legs (skin on) (1.4 kg)
  • – 4 tablespoon unsalted butter (melted) (56 g)
  • – 2 tablespoon olive oil (30 ml)
  • – 2 teaspoon dried oregano (2 g)
  • – 1 teaspoon smoked paprika (2 g)
  • – 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • – 2 tablespoon lemon juice (30 ml)
  • – salt and pepper to taste
  • – 1 lemon (sliced)
  • – fresh thyme (for garnish)


Instructions

  1. Place the chicken legs, melted butter, olive oil, oregano, paprika, minced garlic, lemon juice, along with salt and pepper inside a large resealable plastic bag. Seal the bag and shake until all ingredients are well combined.
  2. Refrigerate the sealed bag, allowing the chicken to soak in the flavors for at least 30 minutes and up to a full day.
  3. Set your oven to preheat at 450°F.
  4. Move the chicken legs from the bag to a large baking dish, arranging lemon slices among the legs. Cook without covering for 30 to 35 minutes until the chicken is golden and fully cooked.
  5. Add fresh thyme on top before serving warm.
