Description

Recreate the juicy tenderness of Longhorn Steakhouse’s Parmesan Chicken at home with this simple yet indulgent recipe featuring a rich, cheesy topping.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (for searing)
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese (optional)
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ cup ranch dressing
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 garlic cloves (minced)
  • ½ tsp Italian seasoning
  • ¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • ½ cup panko breadcrumbs
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Pat the chicken breasts dry and season with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  2. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat; sear chicken for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  4. In a bowl, combine ranch dressing, mayonnaise, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes (if using) for the creamy topping.
  5. In another bowl, mix panko breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, and melted butter for the crust.
  6. Spread the creamy topping over each chicken breast, then sprinkle with the breadcrumb mixture.
  7. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes until chicken reaches 165°F internally.
  8. Remove from the oven and let it rest briefly before garnishing with parsley.

Notes

Ensure chicken breasts are of uniform thickness for even cooking and consider using a thermometer for perfect doneness.
