Ingredients
- 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup bread crumbs
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In one dish, mix the breadcrumbs, half of the grated Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- In a second dish, beat the eggs and mix with the milk.
- Place flour in a third dish.
- Dredge each chicken breast in flour, then dip into the egg mixture, and finally coat with the breadcrumb mixture.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook the chicken for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown.
- Transfer the chicken to a baking dish.
- In a bowl, mix the remaining Parmesan cheese with the mozzarella cheese and minced garlic.
- Top the chicken with the cheese mixture.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until the chicken is cooked through.
Notes
Pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness for uniform cooking. For added crunch, incorporate crushed nuts or crispy onions into the breadcrumb mixture.
