Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs (680 g) beef, cubed
  • onion powder, garlic powder, salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp (30 ml) vegetable oil
  • 1 lb (454 g) broccoli, cut into small florets
  • 8 oz (227 g) alfredo sauce (see Notes below for homemade version)
  • 1 cup (240 ml) cottage cheese, drained
  • onion powder, garlic powder, salt to taste
  • 1 1/2 cups (180 g) shredded cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups (180 g) shredded cheese

Instructions

  1. Set your oven temperature to 375°F. Lightly coat a 9×13″ baking dish with vegetable oil.
  2. Blend the cottage cheese until smooth using a small food processor. Combine it with the Alfredo sauce, and season with onion powder, garlic powder, and salt as desired.
  3. Generously season the beef cubes with onion powder, garlic powder, and salt. Warm up the vegetable oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Cook the beef until it turns golden on all sides, then take it off the heat.
  4. Spread the broccoli florets evenly across the baking dish. Layer the cooked beef pieces on top of the broccoli. Scatter the shredded cheese over the beef. Pour the Alfredo sauce mixed with cottage cheese over everything. Finally, distribute the remaining shredded cheese on top. Bake for 35 minutes, and if needed, broil for a couple of minutes to achieve a golden-brown surface.

Notes

  • Marinate chicken in onion powder, garlic powder, and salt for richer flavor.
  • Add toasted breadcrumbs or chopped nuts for extra texture on top of cheese layer.
  • Customize with bell peppers, mushrooms, or cherry tomatoes, adjusting cooking times.
