Description

Discover how to make delicious maple glazed carrots with this easy recipe. Perfect for a side dish or holiday meal. Try it today!

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs (680 g) baby carrots
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) vegetable oil
  • 1/3 cup (80 ml) maple syrup
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Put the carrots in a pot and add enough salted water to cover them; heat until boiling. Lower the heat to medium-low and let them simmer until they’re soft, about 15 to 20 minutes. Drain the water and move the carrots to a serving dish.
  2. In a saucepan over medium-low heat, warm up the vegetable oil. Mix in the maple syrup and heat until it is warm, about 1 to 2 minutes. Drizzle the mixture over the carrots and toss them well to ensure they are coated; add salt and pepper to your liking.

Notes

  • Use olive oil instead of vegetable oil for a healthier and tastier option.
  • Add a sprinkle of cinnamon or nutmeg to the maple syrup for a cozy flavor.
  • Roast the carrots in the oven for a caramelized texture, instead of boiling them.
