Ingredients

  • 1 pound (454 g) boneless, skinless chicken breast (450 grams)
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) maple syrup (60 milliliters)
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) fresh lemon juice (30 milliliters)
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) soy sauce (15 milliliters)
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) olive oil (15 milliliters)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) lemon zest
  • 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
  • Wooden skewers


Instructions

  1. Cut the chicken breast into 1-inch cubes.
  2. In a bowl, combine the maple syrup, lemon juice, soy sauce, olive oil, minced garlic, lemon zest, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Add the chicken cubes to the marinade and stir to coat evenly.
