Learn how to make delicious Maple Mustard Chicken Thighs with this easy recipe. Perfectly seasoned and baked to perfection for a mouthwatering meal.
Ingredients
- 4 large bone-in chicken thighs, skins removed (about 680g)
- 2 tablespoons beef-friendly French mustard (30ml)
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard (30ml)
- 1 clove minced garlic
- 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) dried marjoram
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup (30ml)
Instructions
- Heat the oven to 375°F.
- Wash the chicken and dry it thoroughly. In a small mixing bowl, blend together the mustards, garlic, marjoram, and maple syrup. Evenly coat the top of each chicken thigh with about 1 1/2 tablespoons of the mustard mixture, ensuring it covers as much surface area as possible to create a “crust.” Place the chicken in a glass baking dish. Cook in the oven for 45 to 50 minutes, or until the mustard topping has crusted over and slightly hardened, and the juices are clear when the chicken is pierced.
Notes
- Ensure the chicken thighs are thoroughly dried before coating with the mustard mixture for better adhesion.
- Marinate the chicken thighs in the mustard mixture in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours prior to baking for enhanced flavor.
- Baste the chicken with pan juices halfway through cooking to maintain moisture and flavor, then broil for a caramelized finish.
