Description

A delicious marinated grilled chicken sandwich bursting with flavor, perfect for casual gatherings or weeknight meals.

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • ½ teaspoon chili powder
  • ¼ teaspoon cumin
  • 6 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 6 hamburger buns
  • Optional toppings: 6 lettuce leaves, 2 tomatoes (sliced), 1 cup dill pickle slices, 3 tablespoons mayonnaise, 2 avocados (sliced)

Instructions

  1. Mix together the olive oil, honey, lime juice, chili powder, and cumin in a ziploc bag.
  2. Place the chicken inside, seal the bag, and make sure that each piece is thoroughly coated in the marinade.
  3. Refrigerate the chicken for at least 30 minutes, ideally 8-10 hours for a robust flavor punch.
  4. Remove the chicken from the fridge once ready. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  5. Grill the chicken for a few minutes on each side, turning once, until the chicken is no longer pink and reaches an internal temperature of 165℉.
  6. If desired, toast your hamburger buns on the grill for added crunch.
  7. Serve your marinated grilled chicken sandwiches with your favorite toppings.

Notes

Adjust spices to taste and let the chicken come to room temperature before grilling for even cooking.
