Description

A tender and flavorful chicken dish soaked in buttermilk, coated in spices, and baked to perfection.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or butter

Instructions

  1. Soak chicken breasts in buttermilk for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.
  2. Remove chicken from buttermilk, letting excess drip off.
  3. In a bowl, mix flour with paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Coat each chicken breast evenly with the flour mixture.
  5. Heat olive oil or butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  6. Sear the chicken for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  7. Transfer chicken to a baking dish and bake at 400°F (200°C) for 20-25 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  8. Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Allow longer soaking time for more tenderness. Use a hot skillet to ensure a crispy crust.
