Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup flour
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil or butter
Instructions
- Soak chicken breasts in buttermilk for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.
- Remove chicken from buttermilk, letting excess drip off.
- In a bowl, mix flour with paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Coat each chicken breast evenly with the flour mixture.
- Heat olive oil or butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Sear the chicken for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Transfer chicken to a baking dish and bake at 400°F (200°C) for 20-25 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
Allow longer soaking time for more tenderness. Use a hot skillet to ensure a crispy crust.
