Description

A comforting and versatile chicken casserole layered with creamy goodness and topped with a crispy cracker crust.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups shredded chicken
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 1 cup crushed crackers (like Ritz or Saltines)
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, and shredded cheese. Mix well and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Transfer the mixture into a greased baking dish.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix the crushed crackers with melted butter until well combined.
  5. Sprinkle the buttery cracker mixture over the chicken mixture evenly.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the casserole is bubbly and the topping is golden brown.
  7. Let it cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Consider using rotisserie chicken for added flavor. This dish pairs well with garlic bread or a fresh salad.
