Description

A comforting dish of tender chicken breasts simmered in a rich and creamy basil sauce, topped with melted mozzarella and Parmesan.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breasts with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  3. Sear the chicken for 5-6 minutes on each side until golden brown; remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, reduce heat and add butter, then sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
  5. Gradually add chicken broth and bring to a gentle simmer.
  6. Stir in heavy cream and grated Parmesan, mixing well.
  7. Add shredded mozzarella and stir until melted and creamy.
  8. Return chicken to the skillet, simmering gently until chicken is cooked through, about 5-10 minutes.
  9. Stir in fresh basil just before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce. Serve with pasta or mashed potatoes to soak up the sauce.
