Description
A tangy and sweet mustard chicken recipe that transforms simple chicken breasts into a flavorful masterpiece.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless chicken breasts
- 4 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- Juice of 1 lemon
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 teaspoon fresh rosemary (optional)
- 1 teaspoon fresh thyme (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
- In a mixing bowl, combine mustard, honey, olive oil, garlic, and lemon juice. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Place the chicken breasts in a large bowl and pour the marinade over them, ensuring they’re evenly coated. Allow marination for at least 15 minutes, or longer if time permits.
- Grease a baking dish and lay the chicken breasts in it, sprinkling rosemary and thyme if desired.
- Bake the chicken in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, until fully cooked (internal temperature of 74°C or 165°F).
- Remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for about 5 minutes before slicing. Serve alongside the pan juices.
Notes
For extra flavor, consider substituting honey with maple syrup. Always let the chicken come to room temperature before cooking for best results.
