Description

A simple and delightful one-pan meal featuring juicy chicken breasts and buttery egg noodles in a savory garlic sauce.

Ingredients

  • 2 chicken breasts
  • 8 ounces egg noodles
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning; then add them to the skillet. Cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side until fully cooked. Remove the chicken and set it aside.
  2. Add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter and the minced garlic to the same skillet. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Pour the chicken broth into the skillet and bring it to a simmer.
  4. Stir in the egg noodles and cook according to package instructions, typically around 7-9 minutes, until they are tender.
  5. Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and stir to combine.
  6. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

For added flavor, consider brining the chicken breasts in salt water for about 30 minutes before cooking. Try adding vegetables like spinach or mushrooms for extra nutrition.
