Description
A simple and satisfying one-pan dish featuring juicy chicken breasts and egg noodles in a rich butter and garlic sauce.
Ingredients
- 2 chicken breasts
- 2 cups egg noodles
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Season the chicken breasts with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Cook until the chicken turns brown and fully cooks, about 6-7 minutes on each side. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the remaining butter along with the minced garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute, allowing the garlic to become fragrant without burning.
- Pour in the egg noodles and enough water (or chicken broth) to cover them. Follow the package instructions, cooking until the noodles become tender.
- Drain the noodles, then return them to the skillet. Slice the cooked chicken and mix it with the noodles, incorporating all the flavors from the pan.
- Serve hot on plates, garnished with parsley if desired. Enjoy your homemade one-pan chicken with buttered noodles!
Notes
For a creamier texture, consider adding a splash of chicken broth or a dollop of cream before serving.
