Description

A quick and satisfying one-pan meal featuring juicy chicken coated in honey BBQ sauce, served over fluffy rice.

Ingredients

  • Chicken pieces (thighs or breasts)
  • Honey BBQ sauce
  • Rice (white or brown)
  • Chicken broth or water
  • Onion (optional)
  • Garlic (optional)
  • Vegetables (optional)
  • Seasoning (salt, pepper, etc.)

Instructions

  1. In a large pan, heat a little oil over medium heat.
  2. Add chicken pieces and cook until browned on all sides.
  3. Add onion and garlic, if using, and sauté until fragrant.
  4. Pour in honey BBQ sauce and stir to coat the chicken.
  5. Add rice and chicken broth (or water) to the pan, bringing it to a simmer.
  6. Cover the pan and reduce heat, cooking until rice is tender and chicken is cooked through, about 20-25 minutes.
  7. Stir in any additional vegetables if desired, and serve warm.

Notes

Marinate chicken in honey BBQ sauce for at least 30 minutes for enhanced flavor. Adjust liquid based on rice type; brown rice typically requires more.
