Ingredients
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil (30 ml)
- 680 g skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
- 5 tsp (8 ml) salt
- 5 tsp (8 ml) ground black pepper
- 2 tbsp (30 ml) garlic powder, divided
- 1 lemon, juiced
Instructions
- Collect all the necessary items.
- Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high flame. Add salt and pepper to the chicken and place it in the hot oil. Turn the chicken frequently while cooking until it turns golden, around 5 minutes.
- Dust 1 tablespoon of garlic powder onto the chicken; let it cook for 2 minutes. Turn the chicken over and sprinkle the remaining tablespoon of garlic powder on the other side; cook for another 2 minutes.
- Drizzle lemon juice on both sides of the chicken and continue cooking until there is no pink remaining inside, about 5 to 10 more minutes. Check that the internal temperature reaches at least 165 degrees F (74 degrees C) with a thermometer.
- Savor your meal!
Notes
- Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper evenly before cooking for enhanced flavor.
- Adjust cooking time based on chicken breast thickness to prevent overcooking.
- Freshly squeeze lemon juice for a zesty citrus taste, rather than using bottled juice.
