Description
A comforting, creamy pasta dish made with ground chicken, cheese, and pasta, all cooked in one skillet for easy preparation.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground chicken
- 8 oz pasta (such as penne or rotini)
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream or milk
- 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
- 1/2 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Optional: chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and minced garlic, sautéing until softened.
- Incorporate the ground chicken into the skillet, cooking until browned and no longer pink.
- Pour in the chicken broth, raising the heat to bring it to a boil.
- Stir in the pasta thoroughly, reducing the heat afterward. Cover the skillet and let it simmer for about 10-12 minutes, or until the pasta is tender.
- Once the pasta is cooked, mix in the heavy cream and shredded cheese. Stir until the cheese melts and creates a creamy consistency.
- Season the dish with salt and pepper according to your taste preferences. If desired, sprinkle chopped parsley on top to enhance presentation. Serve warm.
Notes
For a thicker sauce, simmer uncovered for a few more minutes or add a splash of chicken broth if too thick.
