Description

A delicious Orange Chicken recipe featuring crispy chicken coated in a vibrant orange sauce, perfect for family dinners.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • ½ cup cornstarch
  • ¼ cup vegetable oil
  • ½ cup orange juice
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Toss the chicken pieces in cornstarch until fully coated.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat.
  3. Add the coated chicken pieces and cook until golden and crispy, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix the orange juice, soy sauce, sugar, rice vinegar, minced garlic, grated ginger, salt, and pepper to create the sauce.
  5. Pour the sauce over the cooked chicken and stir to combine, cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with fresh green onions.

Notes

For extra crunch, let the coated chicken rest before frying. Adjust the sweetness of the sauce as desired.
