A creamy and comforting oyster mushroom pasta that highlights the earthy flavors of mushrooms and the richness of cream, perfect for a cozy meal.
Ingredients
- 200g pasta (fettuccine or penne)
- 250g oyster mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Parmesan cheese, grated (for serving)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about a minute until fragrant.
- Add the sliced oyster mushrooms and cook for 5 to 7 minutes until tender and golden.
- Pour in the heavy cream and stir to combine. Simmer for 2 to 3 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss until thoroughly coated in the sauce.
- Serve immediately, topped with grated Parmesan cheese and a sprinkle of fresh parsley.
Notes
Save a bit of pasta cooking water to adjust the sauce’s consistency if needed. Adding a pinch of nutmeg can enhance the flavor of the sauce.
