Description

A creamy and comforting oyster mushroom pasta that highlights the earthy flavors of mushrooms and the richness of cream, perfect for a cozy meal.

Ingredients

  • 200g pasta (fettuccine or penne)
  • 250g oyster mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Parmesan cheese, grated (for serving)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about a minute until fragrant.
  3. Add the sliced oyster mushrooms and cook for 5 to 7 minutes until tender and golden.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream and stir to combine. Simmer for 2 to 3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss until thoroughly coated in the sauce.
  7. Serve immediately, topped with grated Parmesan cheese and a sprinkle of fresh parsley.

Notes

Save a bit of pasta cooking water to adjust the sauce’s consistency if needed. Adding a pinch of nutmeg can enhance the flavor of the sauce.
