Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko)
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ cup all-purpose flour (for dredging)
- Cooking spray or olive oil (for baking)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and pepper.
- Dredge the chicken in flour, shaking off any excess.
- Dip the chicken into the beaten eggs, allowing the excess to drip off.
- Press each chicken breast into the breadcrumb mixture, ensuring full coverage.
- Arrange the coated chicken breasts on the prepared baking sheet.
- Lightly spray or drizzle olive oil over the chicken.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- Allow the chicken to rest for a few minutes before slicing.
