Description
A delightful family dinner featuring crispy, golden chicken breasts coated with Parmesan and breadcrumbs, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (halved lengthwise)
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ½ cup breadcrumbs (either panko or Italian-style)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 large egg
- 2 tablespoons milk
- ¼ cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons olive oil or butter
Instructions
- Pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness.
- Set up a breading station with bowls of flour, egg and milk mixture, and Parmesan breadcrumb mix.
- Dredge each piece of chicken in flour, shaking off the excess.
- Dip the floured chicken into the egg mixture, coating fully.
- Roll the chicken in the Parmesan breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add the coated chicken pieces and cook for 3–4 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F).
- Let the chicken rest for a minute before serving.
Notes
For an extra flavor boost, consider seasoning the flour before dredging and using panko breadcrumbs for a crispier texture. Allow the breaded chicken to rest after cooking for the best texture.
