Description

A delightful family dinner featuring crispy, golden chicken breasts coated with Parmesan and breadcrumbs, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (halved lengthwise)
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs (either panko or Italian-style)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or butter

Instructions

  1. Pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness.
  2. Set up a breading station with bowls of flour, egg and milk mixture, and Parmesan breadcrumb mix.
  3. Dredge each piece of chicken in flour, shaking off the excess.
  4. Dip the floured chicken into the egg mixture, coating fully.
  5. Roll the chicken in the Parmesan breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently.
  6. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  7. Add the coated chicken pieces and cook for 3–4 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F).
  8. Let the chicken rest for a minute before serving.

Notes

For an extra flavor boost, consider seasoning the flour before dredging and using panko breadcrumbs for a crispier texture. Allow the breaded chicken to rest after cooking for the best texture.
