Description

A delightful dish featuring chicken breasts coated in a flavorful mixture of Parmesan cheese and breadcrumbs, perfect for any weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

  • 2 chicken breasts
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir until well blended.
  3. Dredge each chicken breast in flour, then dip in the beaten egg, allowing excess to drip off.
  4. Coat the chicken with the breadcrumb mixture, pressing lightly to ensure it sticks.
  5. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the coated chicken breasts for 4-5 minutes per side, or until golden brown.
  6. Transfer the chicken to a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C). Serve warm.

Notes

For added flavor, consider mixing in Italian herbs with the breadcrumbs. To achieve a thicker crust, double dip the chicken before the final coating.
