Description

A savory pepper steak dish made effortlessly in a crock pot, featuring tender beef and vibrant vegetables.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs beef steak, cut into thin strips
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Place the beef strips, sliced bell peppers, sliced onion, and minced garlic into the crock pot.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix together the soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and beef broth until well blended.
  3. Pour the sauce over the ingredients in the crock pot, ensuring everything gets coated evenly.
  4. Set the crock pot on low for 6-8 hours, or high for 3-4 hours.
  5. About 30 minutes before serving, mix the cornstarch with water in a small bowl until smooth and stir into the crock pot to thicken the sauce.
  6. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper as needed before serving.

Notes

Slicing the beef against the grain keeps it tender. Consider adding carrots or snow peas for added texture. Don’t rush the thickening process.
