Ingredients

  • 2 boneless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon coriander
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, grated
  • 1 cup tomato puree
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, marinate the chicken with yogurt, lemon juice, garam masala, turmeric, cumin, coriander, and cayenne pepper. Let it sit for at least 15 minutes.
  2. In a large pan, melt butter over medium heat. Add onions, garlic, and ginger, sautéing until the onions are soft.
  3. Add the marinated chicken to the pan and cook until browned.
  4. Stir in tomato puree and cook for 5-7 minutes until the chicken is cooked through.
  5. Reduce heat and add heavy cream, mixing well. Simmer for another 5 minutes.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider marinating the chicken overnight. Adjust spice levels to your taste.
