Ingredients
- 2 boneless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 cup yogurt
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon garam masala
- 1 teaspoon turmeric
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon coriander
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 inch ginger, grated
- 1 cup tomato puree
- 1 cup heavy cream
- Salt to taste
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
- Naan or rice for serving
Instructions
- In a bowl, marinate the chicken with yogurt, lemon juice, garam masala, turmeric, cumin, coriander, and cayenne pepper. Let it sit for at least 15 minutes.
- In a large pan, melt butter over medium heat. Add onions, garlic, and ginger, sautéing until the onions are soft.
- Add the marinated chicken to the pan and cook until browned.
- Stir in tomato puree and cook for 5-7 minutes until the chicken is cooked through.
- Reduce heat and add heavy cream, mixing well. Simmer for another 5 minutes.
- Season with salt and garnish with fresh cilantro. Serve hot with naan or rice.
