Description

A simple and flavorful dish featuring tender chicken breasts cooked in a creamy ranch sauce in a crock pot.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (optional for searing)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. If chosen, heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat and sear the chicken breasts for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown.
  2. In your crock pot, add cream of chicken soup, ranch seasoning, chicken broth, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Stir well to combine into a rich sauce.
  3. Place the chicken breasts into the crock pot and coat them completely with the sauce mixture.
  4. Cover and set the crock pot to cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours until cooked through.
  5. Once ready, shred the chicken using two forks and mix it back into the creamy sauce.
  6. For added richness, stir in sour cream and garnish with shredded cheese and fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

For best results, ensure chicken breasts are not overly thick and use a meat thermometer to check for doneness.
