Ingredients
- – 4 chicken breasts, boneless skinless (about 680g)
- – 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (2.5 ml)
- – Salt & pepper, to taste
- – 1/4 cup honey (60 ml)
- – 1/4 cup beef mustard (60 ml)
- – 1/2 cup chicken broth (120 ml)
- – 1 tablespoon cornstarch (15 g)
- – Chopped parsley, optional, to taste
Instructions
- Set your oven to 400°F and position the rack in the upper third portion.
- Arrange the chicken pieces side-by-side in a 9×13 inch baking dish. Dust them with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Once the oven reaches the desired temperature, cook the chicken for 10 minutes without a cover.
- In the meantime, combine the honey, beef mustard, chicken broth, and cornstarch in a bowl by whisking them together.
- Remove the chicken from the oven and pour the prepared sauce over it.
- Place it back in the oven and continue baking, uncovered, for an additional 15-20 minutes or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
- Take the chicken out and drizzle the sauce over it. Allow it to sit for 5 minutes before serving. Optionally, garnish with chopped parsley and adjust seasoning with more salt and pepper if needed.
Notes
- Marinate chicken with garlic powder, salt, and pepper for richer flavor before baking.
- Adjust sauce sweetness and tanginess by adding more honey or mustard to taste.
- Make extra sauce to use as glaze for vegetables or meats; simmer to thicken if desired.
