Description

A flavorful and easy recipe for skillet bang bang chicken thighs, featuring a spicy and creamy sauce that brings a restaurant-quality experience to your home cooking.

Ingredients

  • 6 boneless skinless chicken thighs
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 cup bang bang sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • Chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Mix kosher salt, black pepper, and paprika in a small bowl.
  2. Coat the chicken thighs evenly with the seasoning mix.
  3. Heat a nonstick skillet over medium heat and add vegetable oil.
  4. Sear the chicken thighs for about 5 minutes until golden brown, then flip and cook for an additional 5 minutes until internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  5. Remove chicken from skillet and let rest on a plate.
  6. Add bang bang sauce to the skillet, scraping up brown bits and simmering for 1-2 minutes.
  7. Return chicken to the skillet and coat with sauce, garnishing with chopped green onions before serving.

Notes

For more heat, consider adding a pinch of cayenne pepper to the seasoning mix. Allowing chicken to rest before serving helps improve juiciness.
