Description

A tender and flavorful slow-cooked beef brisket that transforms tough meat into a succulent masterpiece.

Ingredients

  • 3–4 pounds beef brisket
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Set up your slow cooker and layer sliced onion at the bottom.
  2. Trim excess fat from the brisket and place it on top of the onions.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together beef broth, barbecue sauce, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Pour the sauce mixture over the brisket in the slow cooker.
  5. Cover and cook on low heat for 8–10 hours.
  6. Once done, remove the brisket and let it rest for 15–20 minutes before slicing.
  7. Slice against the grain and serve with the reserved cooking liquid.

Notes

Consider searing the brisket before slow cooking for enhanced flavor. Adjust seasoning to taste, and try different barbecue sauces for variation.
