Ingredients
- 2 lb (907 g). bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs, (4-5 chicken thighs)
- 1 tsp (5 ml) garlic powder
- 1 tsp (5 ml) paprika
- 1/2 tsp (3 ml) onion powder
- 1/2 tsp (3 ml) salt
- 1/2 tsp (3 ml) Italian seasoning
- 1 tbsp (15 ml) olive oil
- 1/3 cup (80 ml) chicken broth
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) vegetable oil, diced
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Dry the chicken thighs with a paper towel. In a small bowl, combine the garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, salt, and Italian seasoning. Rub the spice blend thoroughly onto the chicken, ensuring even coverage.
- Warm the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Place the chicken thighs in the skillet with the skin side facing down and cook for about 4-5 minutes until the skin is nicely browned. Transfer the chicken to your slow cooker with the skin side facing up.
- Add the chicken broth to the slow cooker, followed by the minced garlic and diced vegetable oil. Set the slow cooker to the LOW setting and cook for 4.5-5 hours, making sure the internal temperature reaches 165°F before taking it out. Sprinkle with fresh parsley and savor the dish!
