Ingredients
- 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 packet ranch dressing mix
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- ½ cup cooked green onions (optional for garnish)
Instructions
- Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of the slow cooker.
- Sprinkle the ranch dressing mix evenly over the chicken.
- Cut the softened cream cheese into cubes and scatter them on top of the chicken and ranch mixture.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for about 3-4 hours.
- Once cooked, shred the chicken using two forks and stir to combine until fully blended.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top, cover again, and let it melt for about 10 minutes.
- If using, top with cooked green onions before serving.
Notes
For a richer flavor, consider experimenting with different brands of ranch dressing mix.
