A comforting dish of tender chicken breasts smothered in a rich, creamy sauce filled with aromatic spices.
Ingredients
- 4 chicken breasts
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 onion, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and paprika.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the chicken and sauté until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes per side, then remove from skillet and set aside.
- Toss in the sliced onion and cook until translucent, then add minced garlic and cook for another minute.
- Pour in chicken broth and bring to a simmer, then add heavy cream and mix.
- Return the chicken to the skillet, spoon the gravy over it, cover, and simmer for 20-25 minutes.
- Finish with a sprinkle of fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
For variations, consider adding bell peppers or mushrooms. If sauce is too thin, simmer uncovered to reduce; if too thick, add more broth or cream.
