Ingredients
- 8 oz large pasta shells (225 g)
- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded (280 g)
- 1 cup buffalo sauce (240 ml)
- 2 tablespoon s butter (28 g)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream (240 ml)
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese (100 g)
- 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) salt
- 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) black pepper
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) onion powder
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) smoked paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) cayenne pepper (optional )
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (100 g)
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions (25 g)
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley (15 g)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the pasta shells according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream and stir to combine.
- Add grated Parmesan cheese, salt, black pepper, onion powder, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper.
- Stir the sauce until the cheese is melted and the mixture is smooth.
- Add the shredded chicken to the skillet and pour in the buffalo sauce.
- Stir to coat the chicken evenly with the sauce.
- Fill each cooked pasta shell with the buffalo chicken mixture.
- Place the filled shells in a single layer in a baking dish.
- Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the shells.
- Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes.
- Garnish with chopped green onions and fresh parsley before serving.
