A deliciously hearty casserole combining chicken, pasta, and sharp cheddar cheese with zesty spices for a flavorful family meal.
Ingredients
- 1.5 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 8 ounces spaghetti
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 bell pepper, chopped
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a large casserole dish.
- Cook the chicken in a large pot over medium heat for 6-7 minutes per side until cooked through.
- Boil salted water and cook the spaghetti until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- Shred the cooked chicken.
- In a large bowl, mix the shredded chicken, cooked spaghetti, cream of chicken soup, bell pepper, garlic powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, and half of the cheddar cheese. Stir to combine.
- Transfer mixture to the greased casserole dish and top with remaining cheddar cheese.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
- Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
For extra creaminess, consider adding sour cream or cream cheese. Adjust spices to taste to suit your preference.
